About me
I am James Spence, Physics teacher since 2002, living and working in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Originally from Mourne in Northern Ireland, I have lived in Scotland since 1995. Taking my love of the hills from my childhood roots, I'm keen to complete my first Munro round before I reach 80!

In 2017 I had the privilege to co-author my first textbook, S1 to N4 Physics. This was followed up in 2018 with an accompanying question booklet.
Both books have been very well received and it has been an honour to contribute to Scottish Physics education in this way.
Having settled in Edinburgh, my wife is a busy mum and textile artist. You can find out more about her work here.
Together, we have two children, who keep us busy.
